1. It is a very big file about 414MB, it will take 10~20 minutes to install and place it ingame
Be sure to make a backup of your game folder:
“My Documents/EA/the Sims3/DCcache” before installing the lot.
2. I used this mod: OMSP Resizer to enlarge the store signs. It is not included in the file, so the store signs are different from the pictures above.
(The mod does not require for the lot to work)
3. There are a few items I used in this lot need more time to load. These files are very large you can delete them to make the lot runs more smoothly: (many thanks to 17mars)

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, you probably have heard it a million times but I still would like to say that your creations are super duper awesome! you're the BEST designer I've ever seen and its an honor to be able to download your lots. Normally when I download lots I usually tweak it here and there to suit my liking but for yours,I have never done any tweaks or adjustments because they're just perfect as it is. Would be a crime if I do anything to them. They're just so perfect.
I guess I was lucky to download this lot yesterday before you took the link down. I did not notice any lag during gameplay except that it took very long to install via the launcher, also took very long (about 20 mins) when I placed it in my world. When I went into the lot, there was no textures ie. white/blank on the items and it took awhile for the textures to load. I guess its because there are too many CC inside but I have no complaints because the details and placements are just amazing.
I have one question though. The lot is set as salon by default but I have nobody coming to the lot except for 2 townies who tended as the cashiers. Do you have any idea why its like that?

I am sorry, I have no idea why only two NPCs show up on this lot. There should be two stylists, one npc for the cafe stand, a bartender, and two cashiers. I played the lot myself. The NPCs shows up when the shops are open. Could you try to set the lot to "No Visitors allowed" first and play it for a while and then set it back to Salon. If this doesn't help, delete the Styling Station (made by Around the Sims) and then replace with a new one. If you find the solution, could you let me know? I am thinking to put back the download link of this lot. PS. Sorry for my terrible English. ^-^
Not having this problem in my copy. My townies and NPCs are showing up. How are your other lots? Could your world be having routing problems?

DeleteI wanted to let you know I've identified most of the problem of lag. This lot now runs very well in my game. The problem is due to a few pieces of CC that are very, very large files that you have used many times on the lot making it too heavy to run. The main culprits are Bau's leaning book file, the food board decor file, the Nolen Book files, and the Curio Bedroom Big Tree. I've removed most of these and replaced them with small file decor and it runs well now. I hope you will consider putting this file back up for others to enjoy. There really is nothing wrong with it and it is so lovely! I will be keeping it in my game. Thank you! from 17mars

Hello Maggy, I just downloaded the lot again. The links are fine... >_< If you fail to install this lot, maybe is because you already have a lot of custom content in your game. The game launcher won't let you install it. It happens to many people, including me.. Sims 3 is a BIG game that takes up a lot of memory.
DeleteHere is how I do it if I want to install many custom lots. I will have to delete the files in my \Documents\Electronic Arts\ DCCache folder (Important: it will also delete all the custom content too!)
After that I download all the custom lots I want and place the sims3packs in download folder then open the game launcher and install all the lots at once. My CAS files are all in package file format, so I can have the houses I want to have in my game and also the CAS CCs.
