ReplyDeleteSorry about that! The house file is very big. Lack of memory may cause the problem. Did you make a backup of your game folder before you install this house? Here are some pictures that someone has successfully installed it and took some pictures of the house:

Deletethen place the sims3pack into this folder: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Downloads
Start the Game Launcher and go to the Downloads tab. Select the house and click Install.
Also please make a backup of C:\Users\your username\Documents\Electronic Arts\ DCCache folder before installing the house, (if anything doesn't go as expected you can always paste back the folder to restore your game.)

DeleteWhat a beautiful house! I do have a question, whenever I download it all the custom content downloads but the actual lot doesn't? What am I doing wrong?
ReplyDeleteHello, Do you mean when you place the lot in your game all the custom content is gone? If that happens, please "Uncheck" the "run without custom content box" if it is checked. ^-^
DeleteTo find the house you downloaded, go to edit town mode. on the bottom right, you can choose sim families and etc. pick houses and choose one and place it in the neighbourhood.
DeleteDid you install the lot through the launcher?
No, I installed it through a program that turns them into packages, because I normally download a lot at a time and its easier. I've looked through the edit town and its never there no matter what I do :/
